The Potter household is so crazy that the parents bring home a robot to care for their children. Her name is M-COM. She has been programmed to cook and clean, but she would rather sing opera, dance, and watch television. Her greatest domestic challenge is caring for the children. Alex is eleven and the oldest. This year he deals with a new school, new friends, and a new girl. With his best friend Stephen, he terrorizes his teachers, gives migraines to M-COM, and torments his little brother and sister. His fondest wish is to be rich and an only child. Instead he has to deal with a bratty little sister and her twin brother who thinks he is a puppy.
